Quinny Zapp Plus - anyone used it with a newborn?

i'm looking at this for DC2 but I have a few doubts about how suitable it really is for a newborn. It's not lie-flat, which I know is ok-ish, but my main concern is how to keep the baby warm (due October). Has anyone had this pushchair for a newborn? What did you do?

I assume you mean the Zapp Xtra?
I used a Bugaboo Cocoon in mine - my issue was really that the seat is very open and exposed. The Bugaboo cocoon has a bit of a shaped bottom too so it flattens the seat out. It fitted perfectly. this photo isn't the best but its in here with the footrest part flipped up. My son was 3 months old here. The cocoon lasted until he was about 10 months old (he was big) and although I struggled to justify the cost at the time, I now think it was worth every penny (and I still have it to sell at some point). It transferred easily into our other pushchairs too. Just too say, if you were planning to use a car seat with the chassis, then don't! Buy another cheap chassis for that purpose because it will be cheaper than replacing the seat adaptors whenever you happen to lose them!

Oops, yes, sorry. I keep getting mixed up with the Bee Blush

Thanks for the photo, I'd been wondering if that was an option. I'd also been wondering about the converters as they're definitely the kind of thing I would lose!

Your DS is very cute in that picture BTW. You can't beat a sleeping baby in the adorable sleeping!

If you can forgive the shameless PMM, this is one of my favourite photos of all. I love it :o It's still the Zapp with Bugaboo cocoon just to keep things on topic :o

Awwww, dinky! I love it when they're all squishy.

Bugaboo cocoon might be the way to go. The Bee is also on our list but if I can get away with something that does me the job for fewer £££ then I will.
