Baby Jogger City Elite - I have questions

Tiggy - I need your expertise!

I'm still very interested in an elite Grin. Question is, will it take a carrycot? Website suggests yes, baby shop have just said no...

If it takes a carry cot, will this one also fit on my city mini?

Also, have there been many changes to the elite over the last couple of years?

Sorry!!!

Oh and have you had a summit as well? I'm now wavering...

Yes it will take a carrycot - I am sure it takes any of the 3....scrabbles around for her 2012 catalogue.....still scrabbling....why is the one you want always at the bottom of the pile?
OK...yes it definitely takes the hard carrycot and the compact carrycot, and the compact plus carrycot. Theres a photo here.
Yes the carrycot will fit on your City Mini.
I dont think there have been many changes to the Elite to be honest apart from colour.
No I haven't had the Summit. The main differences seem to be the fixed handlebar and of course the larger wheels which are better for running.

Thank you Tiggy, I knew you were right! I nearly told the baby shop I spoke to "what do you mean you don't think it's compatible and you didn't ask questions at Harrogate". Thank god for you and your website! Grin

:o I can't believe a shop owner doesn't know their products or have a catalogue or Google to hand, or the number of their rep to phone and ask!

Daisybell it's your herqules friend here under a namechange.

What you got now? My herqules went. Still regret the haste I sold it in

Daisybell1 · 16/04/2012 11:08

Hello lagoon

My current tally is:

Chicco pram/pushchair
Umbrella buggy (both at my parents)
Urban Detour
Bjcm
Herqules (which is packed away)

I only really use the bjcm and the urban detour now but having just done one of those 'Pushchair Walks', marked moderate but a huge struggle with the urban detour, I now need a proper, full suspension off roader. The Herqules would be fine if it had better wheels which gripped rather than slid.

Would you like to buy my Herqules? (hope this post doesn't get removed!)

I think that this walk confirms I need a summit, rather than elite...

Tiggy - quite!!! They still haven't called me back...

I am glad you have decided :)

Daisybell1 · 16/04/2012 12:40

I think Tiggy is sick of answering my questions Grin

Not at all :) I like it when people do their research, ask questions and work out what is best for them as a result :)

lagoonhaze · 19/04/2012 20:48

You've got a good collection there- even I don't have that many!!

Daisybell1 · 19/04/2012 21:51

What's your tally lagoon?

I currently only have a bjcm, bsmart and a very knackered umbrella fold in garage.
Loads have been brought and sold over the last few years.

As much as i want a bj versa I'm saving up for an extended rearfacing car seat so resisting!!
