DC2 now too big for P&T coccoon - do I need a hammerhead doubles kit?

Hi. I have a P&T E3, bought 3rd hand for a bargain. DC2 is growingout of coccoon. She's a small 5.5 month old and I'm not loving the doubles seat for her at the mo. She still seems a bit small for the very rigid seat. And of course is still sleeping a lot, so I'd like to recline her a bit. I've seen mention of people getting Hammerhead doubles kits, as they recline a bit. Is it really much of an improvement? Would you recommend? Any other hints & tips?
TIA.

In the absence of another answer I will try!
I would first see if I could get by with the baby underneath the main seat ie newborn mode without the cocoon - with blankets etc. After that then to be honest I would look at getting a reclining doubles kit. From what I have seen, yes it is an improvement (until the child's head reaches the top depending on the doubles kit). I wouldn't put my own baby in the upright P&Ts doubles kits. I believe any double kit with pins will fit any pushchair with pins - but I dont know enough about the E3 to say whether the Hammerhead would fit or not. Hopefully someone else can answer that part for you :)

Sport double kit also reclines a bit and will fit the e3.

However I would just line the seat of the newborn part and use it without the cocoon. I have done this in the past.

Thanks Tiggy and misdee. I could happily do this, but then she really can't see anything, which is becoming an issue, and also her feet are starting to catch underneath the toddler seat in front. Until what age/size do you think you can do that until?

Until you think it's not working any more [buwink]
