ICandy Peach 2 - a few Qs

Hello everyone
Have had my heart set on the new peach blossom2 for a while now and finally the new price list is on the website for me to look at online. Seems to cost more now which is a bit :( for me to justify in my head.

Just a few Q's, how essential are the following:

• the £40 per seat liners were for the new peach blossom 2 (2012 model)
• £80 Foot muff, worth it or not and how many? I have a 17 month old and a new born not due till early Aug so not sure how essential this is. Currently have a Maclaren XLR and only used the footmuff on that a handful of times.
• Carry cot, hubby thinks no as DS1 hated being flat when out and we loved the flexibility of the car seat. Don't think the little one will be in car seat for more than 2 hrs anyway at any point.
• Do Recaro carseats really fit on the peachblossom. Have seen lots of adaptors for sale will various sellers online but am unsure if that's for the top or bottom seating position.

Thanks itsmylastone, I've got the SweetPea so that's a shame. I should be able to get away with the new baby being in the car seat for 5-6 months as dd will be 2.9 by then.

We ordered the black magic from John Lewis at the end of March and it arrived this week. We only paid for it when we arranged the delivery date.

Hi everyone, I ended up ordering the Black Magic one from John Lewis at the weekend and I got a phone call last night telling me it's in stock!! I've now paid the full amount and picking it up tomorrow from the store (as I get it quicker that way) - will let you know what it is like.

I want to hear feedback too! Exciting!

Ooh yes please let us know what it's like. I still haven't had the call from John Lewis to say mine is in, the more days go on the more I panic that i've made the wrong decision, mainly because it's so much money! Fingers crossed it's so amazing that you can put my mind at rest!

Hi everyone, I picked up my peach 2 black magic and it is absolutely lovely so glad I have it. It looks so smart and classy and so smooth to push. Very easy to put together too. I love it!!

Ummm hi can I ask a favour please? Does anyone know how much an icandy peach costs? The old model if they are still selling them failing that the new model with some idea about how much more it is.

By peach I mean chassis, seat unit, liner, rain cover (are there 2?), basket, bumper bar and separetely the sleeping bag cost toes thing

The full price list is on the iCandy website for download - its in a box near the bottom right of the screen if I remember correctly.
You need the stroller which comes with the chassis and seat unit. The raincover comes with the stroller - you need one for the stroller seat. If you need a carrycot then the raincover comes with that too. If you are buying the Blossom kit, then you need that and the raincover comes in the box with that too. The bumper bar and basket are included. The current colour Peaches have the liner included, the new generation Peach 2 strollers do not have the liners included and they are £40 each. But if you buy the footmuff then you can simply unzip the top and you are left with a liner.

Hi Jodders83, glad you are loving your new pushchair. I am still wobbling over whether to go for it. Even though I love it I am struggling to come to terms with the cost, with my big fear being that I'll spend all that money and it'll only get used for six months as my oldest will be 2.4yrs by then and im pretty sure will want to walk. The doubles dilemma is a tough one....

Just a quick tip for fellow iCandy mums - take your pram to your nearest cycle shop and get them to put Slime in the wheels (bright green liquid rubber solution which stops you getting a flat tyre... Lasts for about 18 months and should cost around £15)

(If you have air tyres! Don't try this with a Peach, Cherry or Strawberry!)

Hi Sgi14 I don't think I would have got the peach 2 if I was only going to use it for 6 months as it is quite expensive, this is my first child so I know it will get some wear and will probably use it for my second if and when the time comes.

I still use the Peach Blossom with a 3.5 year old and I love the ease of having the second seat as a back up if the eldest is threatening a tantrum or we are in a china shop!! Its so easy to decide if you need a single or double on any one day and the Peach as a single is one of the best pushchairs as it is, and as a double the new Peach Blossom 2 is fantastic. Its very hard to beat TBH in double-land for manoeuverability, ease of use, single/double choice, basket space, sturdyiness, options etc!!
