Maxi Cosi Cabriofix with Britax pushchairs

I have been researching buggies and like the Britax B Agile. A friend has offered me their Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat and base.

Can I use the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix with a Britax B Agile buggy? Can't seem to find information anywhere.

The alternative is the Babystyle Oyster with our budget but would rather the Britax because of the one handed folding system.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Britax and Maxi Cosi are rival car seat manufacturers. They are extremely unlikely to make their products compatible.

FWIW- I would be purchasing a brand new car seat and base, even if offered from a friend.

I see your point but as you can get adaptors these days I thought someone might have made an after market one to be more universal?

In terms of car seat and base what are the main reasons for buying new especially if they are a very good friend? They had twins a year ago and have got two of everything so giving me the spare basically.

You could see if you can try the Oyster car seat adaptors on the Britax. I have a B dual and the Oyster adaptors for a maxi cosi work on it.

Hi, we've moved this thread into Pushchairs.

The Oyster adapters will fit. The connectors on Britax pushchairs are all the same and the Oyster seat connectors are also the same shape as Britax.

If you like the b agile then you will probably love the babyjogger city mini which the b agile us basically a clone of. BJCM takes a maxi cosi with adaptors.

If you are planning on using a carrycot then apparently it's a bit of a piglet for a couple of reasons on the B-Agile. The BJCM (3 or 4) or BJCMGT is well worth a look. As the PP says they take a Maxi Cosi car seat. If you are shorter then go for the B-Agile or BJCMGT. If you are taller then get oe of the two Baby Joggers.

Just make sure you're buying the ones for a maxi cosi seat and not the ones for an oyster seat.

I'd get them quick too if you see them because loads of places are having trouble with getting stock in.
