Do I need a pram?

I have a 6 week old daughter. My stepsister has let us borrow her Maxi Cosy car seat which clips into a Quinney frame , and we have been using this for shops and trips .

I use a Kari Me sling for dog walking.

I want to start daily walks with DD , trying to build up to several miles , and not sure whether its fair to use the car seat system. But I don
't want to spend out.

I'm also very petite so need something light.

We were going to wait till 6 months and just get a Maclaren.

Do you think I should buy a pram or would it be ok to use the car seat one ?

i would recommend either the quinny buzz 3 or the maxi-cosi mura 3. Both great for off road and walking. myself and my sister often go on long walks over all types of terrain and have never had any issues. both are suitable from birth. the mura is generally cheaper than the quinny but does weigh a bit more than my quinny. i have had to purchase the front air wheel too. take a look, the cheapest i can find are from this place www.thekiddiestore.co.uk/ there is a discount code for 7% off. the code is jansave7 not too sure when it expires. hope this helps.

I hated my Quinny Buzz. It misses on every mark IMO. It's heavy, wide, not an off roader, the front wheel is useless off road. I'd avoid it in favour of something that at least meets one of your requirements!

Have a look at this thread about slings for small women.

The Buzz and Mura are both huge and heavy though, so probably not best suited to someone under 5 foot who wants something light. I have no doubt the Mura would be lovely for offroading though. The Buzz is another matter. Wink

we used a connecta baby carrier from birth on front (with legs up like a frog when really little), then on back once about 6/7 months - used it daily for dog walks until DD was 2.5 years! best purchase :)

The Mura is absolutely gorgeous but certainly not light!! It's bulky and awkward folded too.
