baby jogger city elite vs. mini

Does anyone have an elite? Do you like it? Anyone with opinions on the elite vs. the mini? (we're considering both to replace a knackered Quinny Buzz 3, but really really need the big wheels at the back for loads of travelling by intercity train).

Also - anyone know of any discounts or deals on the elite?

(I meant one or the other rather than both - def. not made of money!)

I think you answered your own question. If you need the big wheels then get the Elite. Or wait for the new GT if you dont need any quite as big.
I have both the BJCM and BJCE and I like them both a lot. I do find the Elite a little back heavy, but the features on it are worth everything. The actual seat sizes are very similar. I stacked them recently and if the Elite didn't have a footplate, you would have been hard pushed to tell which chassis was which. It is the wheels that make the difference really in size. The Elite though is packed with features like the adjustable handlebar, raised calf support, better basket access, loads of peekaboo windows with magnetic catches, parent console and handbrake. I bought my Elite from Boots when a triple point plus discount event was on and got tons of points - around £150 worth!!! The BJCM is good but more basic and has the smaller wheels - more of a light weight stroller opposed to an off roader.

Thanks Tiggy! It sounds like the elite is probably the one we should go for, though not sure where we'll find the money right now....

I will try and get some photos of the two side by side for you ASAP and will let you know.

Here you go!! Are these useful?

I have to say I had the buggy addicts scratching their heads earlier when I showed them the BJCM4 folded photo the 3rd from last and asked them why they thought I liked the photo. I showed them a little bit more of the red until they guessed that there was another pushchair underneath. But these last photos really go to show that the chassis of the City Mini and the Elite are actually very similar and that it is the wheels that really make a difference.

I can't wait for the GT because it will have most of the advantages of the Elite but with the smaller off road wheels.

That's INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!! Thank you.
