Double pushchair to fit in small car, help!

Please can someone help? I need a recommendation for a double pushchair for use with a newborn and 20 month old. Sounds easy? It needs to fit in the boot of a Peugeot 107/ Citroen C1/ Toyota aygo. Does such a pushchair exist?

A pushchair to fit in the car would be cheaper option than new car to fit round the pushchair.

Thanks.

Possibly a Britax B-Dual with the back wheels off. It's surprising how small it folds. Also the Jané Powertwin is small (smaller than the B-Dual just about) folded with the back wheels off,but isonly really suited to a short toddler. It's amazingly light to push though. These are the only two doubles that have fiitted in my Mum's Peugeot 207 and both leave plenty of room. Mothercare sell themboth if you want to try them.

The two flattest folding doubles I know of are the Baby Jogger City Mini Double - incredibly flat but its a squarish fold. So it really depends on the height and width measurements of your boot. Or the Baby Jogger City Select. With the wheels off its very slim - I can dig the measurements out if you want them. The two seat units are literally cms and flat (or can have the footrests folded to go around a corner). The Phil&Teds Verve folds as a chunk which may fit. But if those two wont fit, then I dont know what else will! The measurements for them all will be here

Sorry those three...

That's really useful. I'll start having a look at dimensions.
Thanks so much.

Hello, I was just trying to research the same thing as I am in the same situation. I am thinking of buying an Aygo as it is a cheap to run 2nd car, but I am due with our second baby in March, we'll have a 21 month gap. What double buggy did you end up getting? are you happy with it.

Thanks so much

Vicky

I have a babyjogger city mini double GT (with the bigger wheels) for my 24mo and 2mo DS's, and it fits (with wheels on) in the boot of my VW Golf. The boys love it too, loads of room for them both. I use a Graco softcot at the moment so my newborn can lie flat and parent face, picked one up new off Ebay for £20! Can't recommend it highly enough. You can fit your life in the basket too.

We have a moutain buggy one + - its a tandem buggy. With wheels off it fits in the back of a Kia picanto, as long as its just a day trip and you dont need to take travel cots etc
