Buggy help! (And offer in Boots)

Hi All,
Saw a deal in Boots today, they had a Maclaren Quest for sale for £70 reduced from £105 I think, tried my LO in it, 2 years old, and I think that she will outgrow it soon as her legs were already on the foot rest and she looked massive in it!

Any recommendations? Looking for something to use daily, but she is wanting to walk more now, used on pavements, walks, but nothing too adventurous! Some space for a few bits carried, not used on public transport, but to take on hols etc. Like a BJCM but think it is too expensive. Sad times. :(

Thank you.

pramsgalore · 09/01/2012 21:36

mumatron · 09/01/2012 21:54

I didn't bother with collecting from store as I wasn't in a rush to use it but now I'm itching to get my hands on it.

Colliecollie · 10/01/2012 09:19

The bad review says the wheels do their own thing and lock so the buggy tips.

I'd love to know how easy it folds too please?

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 10:11

going to collect when dp gets home from work tonight, so will let you know later Smile

Colliecollie · 10/01/2012 12:52

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 14:23

Hi all

I am knew to this site, but wanted to tell you all about my pushchair i purchased for my little girl, back in March.....I have a Norton Pure in (ebony). This is a travel system, which comes with the pushchair, carrycot and carseat, It can also be bought separately. This pushchair is from birth and is two way facing..I love the look and style of this pushchair. It has big chunky wheels so when i go down curbs and my little girl is sleeping she is not woken, as the suspension is brilliant. The thing i love the most is when she is forward facing and she drops off to sleep, you can just push the button at the top of the seat unit and tip the whole seat unit back so that she is in a lying position, the only downfall is the that the shopping basket is on the smaller side, but the look overcomes that....The price is really good too :)

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 17:07

Hi, the norton pure does look like a lovely pushchair, so pleased you are enjoying using it Smile

mumatron · 10/01/2012 17:49

Well, I somehow managed to get the pebble instead of black (good ordering there dp!)

It's a really nice pushchair for the money. Would I have paid full price for it? No.

It folds really easy and reclines ok, no issues with wheel but straight out of the box I don't think it will. I would imagine that fault happens with more use.

Only had one quick trip to shops and it's supposed to be going in the attic until june yeah right but will post more when I get more of a feel for it.

suzie38 · 10/01/2012 17:50

There's a Norton Storm for sale, in a local second hand baby shop...Though some items are brand new.

suzie38 · 10/01/2012 17:51

Shame no sizes are mentioned on the official site though.

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 17:56

mumatron, sounds great so far, i have ordered the black one, the cream did look lovely though

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 17:57

suzie, we don't have any second hand pram shops, i wish we did though, better than endless charity shops we seem to have Smile

saoirse86 · 10/01/2012 19:15

My mum's going to Solihull tomorrow while she has dd, so I might ask her to look in JL. If we got one, it'd be mainly for her anyway, and she does like celia bertwell. I think it's a bargain!

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 19:54

i love mine too, its a larger seat than what i was expecting, i am well pleased, will use it tomorrow on the school run.what a bargain for £42 even the raincover feels nice and is a throwover rather than one that go's around the rim of the hood Smile

mumatron · 10/01/2012 20:03

I keep peeking into the dining room to have a look at it Grin

I'm tempted to go into JL to see if the have a black one I can use for now and keep the cream one for hols. In my experience a pram never survives the plane ride home and I can't see a bargain like thos coming up again soon.

pramsgalore · 10/01/2012 20:06

thats a good idea, not everyday you can pick up a decent buggy for £42 Smile

Colliecollie · 10/01/2012 20:12

Gah!! Grin I totally missed out
