Worn out Quinny Buzz - what next?

We've loved our Quinny Buzz-3. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but for a family without a car that does a LOT of travelling by train it's been a godsend, and we've had absolutely no problems with it until now. Have used it all day, every day.

However: the handle no longer goes in and out (it's stuck on "out"), and the brake is beginning to jam up. We think it's probably getting worn out.

Would it be worth buying a new frame (assuming such a thing is possible), or getting the old one refurbished (ditto)? Or should we just buy a new pram? We've only got one child (nearly 2) and are unlikely to have another, so we wouldn't want to get something too expensive.

Any suggestions welcome!

Have you tried silicone spray in the handle cavity? You could probably do something about the brake too. Are either of you quite handy? Or do you have a friend or relative who's good at things like that? They don't sound like things that can't be fixed fairly easily. You could contact Quinny/Dorel to see if they have suggestions and perhaps a replacement brake if it's needed. (This has just reminded me that I keep forgetting to look at the dodgy brake on one of my pushchairs, thankyou!)

I'd be reluctant to get a new chassis because it's going to cost a lot new and second hand ones may have issues too.

If you decide to get something new, have you seen the Mamas and Papas Joolz? They have a similar look and are supposed to be nice to push. The seat's nice and high too and they sell fairly cheaply on eBay.

£150 at Halfords :) Bargain!

The city mini would normally seem like a great pushchair to choose for going on the train a lot, but if you've been happy with your buzz then you obviously don't require what we would usually expect you to. And if you like to use it rear facing then a city mini won't work.

I'd look out for a cheap second hand frame, look here, or buy a whole buzz as you might even find that's cheaper!

Ring dorel, they will send you a recon chassis for a modest cost. The brake is prob just full of mud and grit and a good blast with a pressure washer should sort it but it sounds as if the cable that runs from the button on the handlebar down to the height adjuster is broken, and that needs either a new handlebar if you are a pro at taking stuff apart or you need to send it to them for repair if not.
