mamas and papas Sola or Phil & Teds Explorer?

Hi all,
I am expecting my first child in February and have started looking for pushchairs. My husband is keen on the Phil & Teds Explorer as he thinks it makes sense to have a pushchair which will last and is able to be made into a double buggy when we have our next child.
I like the Mama and Papas Sola better but know it will last no where near as long.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these pushchairs? any advice would be great!

Have you also looked at other pushchairs that can take two children later eg iCandy Apple and Pear, Baby Jogger City Select, Britax B-Dual or given your due date the Phil&Teds Promenade?
But equally I wouldn't necessarily base your pushchair choice on having another child. The age gap may not be right and there are some good doubles due out next year and hopefully too in future. The Phil&Teds Dot is due out next year and may well end up replacing the Explorer by the time you have Baby No2.
So, I would buy what you want, buy wisely, see it as a long term rental and sell your single when and if you have No2 (unless you prefer one of the pushchairs listed at the start lol).

Thanks for your help. Had a look at the Promenade and is look like it will be excellent, not sure on the exact release date though.
I am now also considering ICandy options - does anyone have any experience (good or bad) of them?

I think the Promenade is due in December but I would add a few months onto that and keep your ear to the ground. Re the Peach and Pear, I have had them both. Does this help at all? I prefer the Peach, but the Pear is very neat. I struggle to fault the Peach though both as a single or the new double. The Peach is very very good.
