talk to me about the britax b-dual

I have been debating a double for so long I am going crazy!
Can you tell me the positives and negatives of this double please.

I will have a 20 month age gap and my first child is very long and heavy but still sleeps and needs to recline. Second issue is that I am in London and need to get on a bus.

Am considering the B-Dual, Mountain Buggy Duet, or Baby Jogger Citi Elite, or Phil and teds Verve.

But it seems the B_Duel is front runner...would love to hear experiences.

The B-Dual is very good. However to save my fingers if you scroll down the message list there is a topic entitled something similar to 'tell me the pros and cons of the B-dual'. It's about six topics from the bottom (at a guess). Have a read and if you have any further questions then do ask :)

thanks just looked at the other thread. am a little worried you said the width was an issue as I need to get on bus and go in shops.

looked at another issue which said its birth to 15kg... my 18 month old is already nearly 14kg and it will be another 3 months till we use the buggy!

i have a verve, weight limit 20kg per seat, i have taken mine on a park and ride bus, i love the verve, in baby/toddler the toddler would sit in the doubles seat on the front so no recline, but after 5 months the doubles seat would be on the back and the recline on the back seat is very good and if the back seat was reclined you would be able to recline the front seat a bit, i push around a 5 and a 3 year old and still find it easy to push, get up kerbs etc, its worth a look, and it can be folded with the doubles seat still on the back, its heavy to lift though, but i still manage to lift it into our car.

All UK pushchairs only have to be tested to 15kgs to go onto the UK market. They may well hold more weight but aren't officially safety tested. Therefore I suggest you try and have a play with one and see how well you think it takes your DS weight. There aren't many double pushchairs that get UK tested beyond 15kgs. Phil&Teds, Mountain Buggy, Mima Kobi are the only ones I can think of.
