Has anyone used a M&P Pliko Switch with a buggy board please?

Hi

I am due in 3 weeks and have just got our Switch out of the loft. I assumed that our 2 year old daughter would be able to ride along on the step already on it (for getting up kerbs) but it looks like this won't be the case?

I have seen that a Lascal buggy board should fit but am worried that it will not leave much room for me/husband esp. to push the pram comfortably?

Also can you fold the pram up with a bboard attached? Is it a pain to take off?

I love my pram and really don't want to have to change it. Would really appreciate your feedback as thought I had crossed this transport problem off my list but it seems not just yet!

why can she not stand on the step?

the reason i ask is that this would be the best, buggy boards are not great to walk with and no you have to unclip the board to fold, but its a 2 second job to do. i have had a switch and used the step for older child. but to be honest i would get a double with a 2 year old and baby

and you also would not be able to use the step to get up kerbs with a buggy board on, which as you know would not be great

Thanks - when we have the Switch in pram mode, facing us it sticks out too far for her to stand on the step. I really didn't want to have to get a double as I wanted the baby to be facing us in the pram and in the pushchair for as long as possible and didn't think this was an option with a double.

I have an ergo sling and a McClaren if I need to have my daughter in the pushchair as another option.

there are a few doubles that are out now that allow baby to face, but i don't know much about the new doubles try here

It's possible to get doubles that parent face but there tend to be compromises. The best option really is the Baby Jogger City Select but I would put the children facing each other, that way you get a great view of the baby, know where the end of the pushchair is, and can chat to your toddler. The O'Baby Zoom parent faces. There are several eg the B-Dual, Kolcraft Contours, iCandy Peach that you can have a baby parent facing but with compromises eg having to use a car seat. There are loads of options if you are happy to have baby in a carrycot or soft cot parent facing for the first six months and then both children outward facing after that eg Baby Jogger City Mini and Elite, Nipper 360, Twinner Twist Duo etc. There are also larger pushchairs eg Mamas and Papas Duette, Bebecar Vector Duo, Bebecar one & two where the children can face either direction.
Trying to sling one child and push the other is hard work as you tend to lean forward so need to support the baby more. I tried it and quit within minutes!

Just to add I forgot to mention pushchairs like the Bugaboo Donkey, Beep Beep Elegance Twin and First Wheels City Twin all of which have parent facing or outward facing seats but are side by sides.
