Help...ICandy Peach Blossom or Phil & Teds new Verve????

Hi all, does anyone know anything about these two buggys? I had the P&T vibe which i hated as the front wheel got stuck all the time and i would have to take it off to clean and oil it every month or so and pump up all the tyres!

I got rid of that but now im pregs again i need another double pram, does anyone have any reviews on the Icandy Peach Blossom or the new P&T verve~ even tho its not out in the shops yet.
Any help will be great. Many thanks in advance.

The p&t verve is out,its fantasic,i had the vibe and i HATED it with a passion.
i LOVE it.
however,my DC are 1 and 3,its perfect for them,but if i had a new one on the way,id most likely go for the icandy,but wait for the new peach blossom,its 2nd seat sits up better,
im sure tiggy will be along soon to tell you all about it,
but there are fab reviews here

I think my choice will be between these two too, but I can definitely wait for the new icandy seat.

I'll need it for newborn + 18m and I'm a little nervous about the P&T for a tiny. Also, I've not really seen them with toddler on the front, so I'm finding it difficult to imagine that, and whether there's a raincover for them in that setup. So I'm leaning more towards the icandy.

Absolutely without a doubt wait for the new Peach Blossom. The options are great ie carrycots, car seats, two equal sized large seat units. With the Verve the main seat unit is huge and comfy but is semi reclined and the lower child has limited leg room and comfort with a poorly fitting hood. The main difference is fold - set up. The Verve folds as one piece but it's a large chunk to lift. I struggled to put it in my car. The Peach is more bitty to set up each time but it's easy enough. The side clips on the Verve are incredibly hard to do and I trapped my thumb in one which hurt lots! I need space for shopping or a changing bag and with either child in the lower Peach seat there is loads of room for shopping. I find the Peach incredibly stable whereas the Verve is very light at the front end - when my daughter got out at the park I was concerned at the stability with the baby left in the doubles kit. I didn't like the 'ergonomic' handle of the Verve - it dug into my hands. I find the Peach handle a bit too large really but the chunkiness is kind of reassuring. The Peach is easier to push with two older children in. The Verve is better off road (not sand) and the front wheels of the Peach don't like being driven straight off a step. The doubles kit on the Verve kept falling off the runners and if you don't place it accurately (not easy to see with an older child in the seat) and sit it too far upright then this happens too. The recline of the Poach needs two hands which is quite tricky for the lower seat. I struggle to get my arms around but it's possible to pop one side in and then do the other. The Verve reclines are much easier - both one handed and can be done without stopping but if the top seat is only reclined a little bit then the recline strap dangles in the lower child's face. I found access to the lower seat hard. With the Peach it's easier to put the lower child in first and then add the upper seat on top, but it's fine to put the lower child in with the upper seat on. With the Verve I felt like I was 'threading' the children through gaps to get in. My daughter hated the huge gap at the back of the Verve hood and kept telling me it was blowy (on a sunny day!) so I knew she would hate it through the winter. The Peach has lovely snug hoods. I didn't like the way the Verve lower seat pads slid off with every use and needed putting back into position again. The Peach hood moves up the chassis for growth and the liner removes for more growth. The Verve upper seat is huge and has tons of room for growth. The Verve raincover will go over the doubles kit and should be fine of the hood is up. The Peach Blossom has two separate raincovers included in the price but personally I prefer to use a throw over tandem raincover (I use a B-Dual one). It's hard to get the lower raincover over an older child's feet in the Peach especially if they dangle them in the basket or rest their feet on the frame. But if your toddler doesn't like raincovers then you can always cover just one child. I loved the looks of the Verve and fell for them. But for me there were loads of minor niggles which added up. My reviews of both pushchairs are on www.bestbuggy.co.uk. However the new iCandy Peach Blossom simply works brilliantly. I think it's as near a perfect double as you can buy right now. I had the old Peach Blossom and once my one gets returned to iCandy I will be buying my own one as soon as I can. I am confident that I can get another year (until DD is four) out of it size wise which will get me through some long all day outings and I will be left with the best single I have used to date. Believe me, I wasn't always a Peach fan, but iCandy listened to my and others grumbles, did something about it and have produced an outstanding tandem pushchair.

I really want the icandy, but I think DH will die when he sees the price.

Also he's adamant that the wheels will be no good when we go to visit his parents. I think that for those couple of weeks a year we should take our MBU single and a sling. The rest of the time it'll be perfect in London.

The Peach is surprisingly good across rough grass. It's not a serious offroader though.

It's snow that it'd have to deal with, quite a lot of it.

I am not entirely sure how well the Verve would cope with snow. The Vibe is the better off roader. I took the Verve to the beach and at the first sign of resistance the wheels simply bent underneath as they flex.

Oh I don't think the Verve would be up to it either. If that's what he wants I think we'd need a proper side by side off-roader (another MB for example), but we live in a flat, so there's not really space for one.

Thanks guys for all your messages, i got my hubby to look at the icandy today and he is worried about the wheels, he thinks they dont look that tough for off road like grass, muddy tracks etc?

They are fine on average grass ie parks, playing fields etc. I can't say I have had chance to push it through serious mud. It copes great with thick gravel though. It's not really an off road pushchair though.
