Please help. How can I get a new brake for my old bugaboo?

Am in a panic.
Have 5 yr old bugaboo cameleon. The button that holds the brake on has jammed and so the brake doesn't work now. It goes on if you lift the lever but the lever doesn't stay in place unless you hold it there.
I went into mothercare and asked them about it a month ago. They called bugaboo who said they'd send a replacement brake button bit. Only now after I've chased the order every week since then have they said that my buggy is too old and they can't get the part! Their only recommendation is that I buy an entire new buggy (tossers!)
so now I have a buggy with no working brake and a baby due in 5 days time. Help!
How can I get a part that bugaboo themselves can't get? Or who would be able to fix the one already on the pram possibly? Are there pram repair places??
Any ideas?

Could you get a new/used chassis on eBay? And use you other bits with it?
