Shall I buy a cocoon for my bugaboo bee?
musttidyupmusttidyup · 24/07/2011 14:23
Getting my new-to-me bugaboo bee next week and didn't know whether to buy a cocoon. Dd is nearly 5 months but small ish. Sits well upright in a buggy tho. They just look so snuggly.... Am I wasting my money? (plus, it's august nearly) what age do they grow out of the cocoon? Also - is a buggysnuggle ok in a bee? Prefer to a cosy toes as can zip off etc. Finally, any recommendations for a buggy liner for the bee (should point out here if I keep spending money like water dh will divorce me).

My son was tall - 90 oddth centile and he stayed in his Bugaboo Cocoon until he was about 9 months old, so your daughter could well get up to a year in it. I bought mine in August and believe me last year, within weeks it was bitterly cold and yet he looked very snug in it. I like you hestitated for ages because I thought he was too old, but I was glad I bought it - definitely one of my best buys. They resell well on Ebay later. Like you say, you can zip the top off or button back the top, leaving feet protected from the sun.
