When to put baby in seat (not carrycot)?

He is 3mths. Happier in pram today when I took hood off, likes trying to sit up and holds head fine...
He's not big enough for seat bit yet, is he? (have Hauck Infinity, bit like Bugaboo in design...)

Any advice? Have never had carrycot before - dd was in techno xt and ds was in sling then bucket seat of icandy maybe 4mths?

Thanks

I switched over slowly between 4 and 6 months. If I was going into town for the day, I used the carrycot as they seemed much more protected in there and would probably sleep a lot anyway, but if I was going out locally for lunch (so less walking and more inside) I'd use the seats so they could sit up and watch stuff going on. Now at 6 months and don't use carrycots now.

we moved DD1 to proper seat at 3 months (both Phil & Ted and mac techno) had assumed DD2 would move at the same age but no way was she ready. DD1 was v nosey and desparate to look about, DD2 very laid back and only just got nosey at 6 months!
