Maclaren XT or XLR- which is best from birth?

Hi all

I already have a Volo from ds #1, I need a stroller that's suitable from birth. I don't drive at all. Have looked through the many past threads on this subject but still can't decide! I prefer smaller if I can get away with it as I'll use on buses etc. also will have to store in flat so smaller is better.

I think overall they are both pretty much the same except you can get a carrycot for the XT to be rear facing for a few months.

If you need smaller then I would go for the XT, just get a comfy footmuff/sheepskin for baby to lie on as they are not the softest. It lays flat and folds to a decent size too.

Also meant to add that I don't drive and found my Maclaren a pain to try and push everywhere because thh double handles made it awkward if DS wanted to hold my hand.
