Is a phil and ted any good for actual off roading?

We live in the country and walk a lot through the woods and along tracks

Is the p&t a 'real' off roader, or is there something better for a small baby and a toddler?

in my experience, the mountain buggy double is better because it has four wheels but the p&t is ok off road, the p&t hammerhead will be much better and the explorer as it has four wheels.

it's not too bad, nipper 360 double is better as it has higher clearance

My P&T Sport is fine on bridleways, woods and fields etc.

Highly recommend Mountain Buggy Terrain

I wouldn't jog with it (then I wouldn't jog Grin) but we've gone quite off roading with it - mainly in single mode - terrible in toddler on top and nb underneath as centre of gravity so high so topples easily - if you've a small baby would sling them and use p and t in single mode for bumpy terrain

Jogging? Hahaha. No.

Thanks all, am thinking I might style it out with my old pushchair and a sling fir the first few months then reassess.

Not bad. I have to drag mine on the beach though.

The shopping basket tends to sag after a while and drag on high bumps. I've stapled mine up a bit so it's higher off the ground.

yes it is a great offroader but I agree, not very stable in newborn mode.

Ours was great off road - we took it everywhere. The bottom did get scraped, and it did end up with a replacement wheel bearing - but it had a hammering, and it withstood all terrain.

Had one and went back to a mountain buggy terrain after a couple of months, found the swivel front wheel a pita when locked.

I used to job with DS in my P&T until he was about 9 months old and got bored and uncomfy.
