Right age to move from carrycot to seat unit?

Hi all

I have a 13 week old DS who is getting more and more frustrated with lying flat in his carrycot. Today we went out in the seat part of our M&P Sola and he loved it. I then freaked out that actually he was too wee to be sitting like that. Any thoughts? He was semi-reclined, and definitely no more upright than in his carseat or bouncy chair. He has really good head control and a strong back - should I be worrying about this? We don't take long walks either, he's probably in his pushchair generally for a max of 30mins to an hour depending on what we're doing. Thanks!

we let DD sit up in the buggy at 3 months as she could support her head fine and was desperate to nose about into what was going on. I think that as long as they are reclined rather than upright then you won't be doing any damage.

Robyn went into her Bugaboo Frog seat at 8 weeks as she hated lying flat not being able to see anything...Robyn was very rigid from birth and sat at 17 weeks so she never really flopped in the seat...Lots of babies are in stroller type buggies from birth anyway.
