Bugaboo Bee sold on ebay damaged in transit

I recently sold my Bugaboo Bee on ebay. The buyer arranged a courier collection (DHL) and I boxed it up ready for collection. The buyer has now informed me that one of the bars has snapped in transit and another of the plastic tracks has bent. The pram still has a few months left on its warranty. I'm not sure if she took out the courier company's insurance. What should I do? Who is liable? All suggestions welcome!

Did you charge packaging?

I believe they are liable - basically when their courier collected they accepted responsibility.

The only slight question mark in my understanding would be if you'd charged to package and done it frugally.

Supply them with the warranty info if you have it to hand but I doubt the warranty would cover this.

if they arranged the courier then they should have taken out the insurance. I recently sold my P&T and was so worried about it all going wrong I took out the insurance, was only a fiver, but wouldn't you?

Yes, I would. Maybe she has. Will email her and ask. Feel a bit gutted for her though and would like to help?.
