Bugaboo Bee owners...A few questions!

Hiya

For the past couple of weeks I have been dreaming about a bugaboo bee Grin

I started off with a quinny buzz 4 (way to heavy and useless on public transport) then I brought a Maclarrins traiamph which is so ugly my son hates sitting in it.

I REALLY REALLY want the bee. My son is nearly 10 months and im abit worried he wont get much use out of it (i have read its not very good for older children!) is this true? Do you think its abit late?

ALSO, is there anywhere else I can buy the 2009 bee NEW (apart from mothercare?)

Do you like the look of the original or the bee plus more?

Thank you!!

Hi, I have owned both. The bee is smaller, but if you have a tall child you can take off the hood.
I like the Bee Plus more as it has a wider seat and all the little things that irritated me about the bee have been fixed in the +.
Looks wise I thing they are both nice but my bias is the + as I have got on so much better with it.
My DD is 18 months by the way and still has lots of room to go in the plus :)

I've had both and prefer the older Bee, it just seems cosier. My son looks huge in it at 20 months but he looks huge in Bee Plus too!
I think Bee Plus good for tall skinny kids though (mine is short n dumpy!)

i love the bee plus. I have it for my 2y old. Lots of growing room yet. I can even fit my tall six year old in it! Loads more head room in the hood plus seat back extends way taller than the back on the 09 bee. It is a lovely pushchair.

I have the original bee for dd4 who was 2 last saturday and it's great, it's light weight, gorgeous to look at, easy to push, she finds it very comfy especially now that she has a bumper bar to hang over!

I love my Bee Plus...I'm still not keen on the look of the original as i don't like the wheels or the huge hood...DD hates hoods up so don't think she'd like the original either...My DD is tiny so the bigger seat isn't a major pro but i do change it around ie if i do have to put the hood up then i make the seat back high so she notices the hood less...I adjust the seat depth if i feel she'd like her legs resting more...I've also bought a bumper bar for mine so i don't often strap her in as a result bad mummy I think bars make pushchairs look more comfortable...You can buy new hoods, seat liners, footmuffs off various companies to really personalise your Bee though i realise you can do it for other models as well, though generally i think it's only Bugaboos where you can do the hood easily...My only gripe is that it's not free standing when folded as lots of my other buggies are.

I have an original bee. My 11m old is fine in it. I love it! So nippy and light. Got mine on ebay.
