Has anyone used Maclaren Techno XT from newborn?

I am currently struggling to work out travel possibilities for DC2 (due at Christmas).

DS1 is 2 and is quite a good walker but still uses the pushchair as well. We currently have a Maclaren Techno XT for him but am wondering whether it could also be used for DC2 (perhaps with a buggy board for DS 1 to ride on)? It says it is suitable for newborn but I am a bit sceptical - has anyone tried it? Does it need any special inserts?

We also have a Jane Slalom Pro that we used for DS1 with the Matrix car seat as a travel system. However it was pretty old when we got it and I'm not sure it will go the distance!

I'm just trying to avoid getting a double buggy or having 2 pushchairs at the same time as our house is pretty small.

Thanks

Hi
I used maclaren XT from birth, they usually come with head hugger. I found this much better than car seat type pram as they r lay more flat, in car seat types oxygen doesnt get to their toes very easily, as i found out when my lil one was taken in to hosp!
Hope this helps!!

our's came with a headhugger etc and it goes pretty much as flat as my nipper 360, however not using it from birth as DD1 is rather terratorial about it and won't share her "little" buggy with DD2 Grin

We got ours second hand although I'm sure I'll be able to acquire a head hugger.

Does yours adjust at the foot end? I don't think mine does or if it does I've not worked out how!
