maclaren buggy -sticky brakes/recliner

got a maclaren xt -the brakes are now quite temperamental (takes real effort now to push them down adn get them to hold) and the recliner is quite stiff and wont actually go down the whole way without a great deal of force (wont go down at all today).

any tips ? its 2 years old and I don't really want to replace it as was plannign on taking it away with us on a big trip so wanted it in worki g in order rather than taking a new pushchair with us.

have you tried wd40?

sounds like it needs to have the wheels cleaned and lubricated, and the recline meca=hanism needs lubricating.

Wilkinsons do a lubricating spray for about a quid that's pretty good.
