My name is Porridge and I am a pushchairaphobic. Help me please!

I have a Quinny Zapp as my second buggy atm. I loved it when DS was younger and I could put the MC car seat on it but now he is 10 months I can't fit him in it any more and have have to use the Zapp seat. It's too upright for him, he slumps and can't get comfy so I need a new lightweight buggy and I'm stuck on what to get.

Key features are that;

  • lightweight and fold up small enough to fit into a small car.
  • can manoeuver easily.
  • able to recline.
  • has a sun shade.

Any advice would be gratefully received as I really have lost the will to live with anything pushchair related.

Babyjogger city mini.

Meets all the requirements and everyone raves about them.
Boots have them on offer at the mo.......

Multimummy · 19/07/2010 00:44

Quinny zapp xtra. Due out soon. Has recline and can even be parent facing!

nicolamumof3 · 19/07/2010 02:48

BJCM Or a maclaren, but quest which would be your ideal choice not got the hugest hood. Am intersted to see the zapp xtra too!

maxybrown · 19/07/2010 07:20

Yep Baby Jogger - hood is fantastic. I love Maclarens too but the smaller ones won't offer you the sun shade the city mini will - as Nicola has already said! I got mine from Boots on offer - plus ised a 10% off code and got almost £25 in points! Oh but you need to buy rain cover seperately!

Thank you pushchair afficionados! I saw that the Zapp was going to be replaced but unfortunately I need the buggy by the end of the week to take on holiday. With the BCJM - does the mini recline further than the micro?

Not sure about the recline but the mini has a much bigger hood and a mesh vent at the back for hot weather. Dont know if you would get one from boots in time to be honest. You may ahve to source one in person.

Just has a quick play with my boots account. You could get delivery on Thursday if you order today....

If you do order from boots Dont forget Quidco for cashback...cant find an offer code to use as well..sorry.

maxybrown · 19/07/2010 09:02

Yeah Boots very qick on delivery - and yes the mini lies flat basically - you can choose next day delivery on Boots if you like also.

There is a video

here of micro the recline is very minimal

Glad you like it and that it arrived so quickly!

Miffster · 22/07/2010 11:54

Oooh. Does anyone know - can I attach a Maxi Cosi to a BJCM?

Miffster · 22/07/2010 12:01

Sorry - just found the list of Maxi-Cosi compatible chairs and yes, it is compatible!

onadietcokebreak · 22/07/2010 15:01

It is but you will need a adapter thing. Boots.com have it.

onadietcokebreak · 23/07/2010 07:30
