Part Exchange on a new build from a recently newish house, anybody done it?

i've done this. we bought a new house then 3 years later moved to another new house doing a part ex.

Great furball that's what I want to do, but I am currently trying to persuade dh! Was it very expensive this way?

It was 10 years ago but luckily sales had slowed down at the development, so they were quite keen.

We had to get 3 estate agent valuations and forward them on, they then gave us the average.

I must say - it was a very easy move, as there was no chain.

I guess the only way to find out for sure is to go and talk to them. Dh will never go for it unless they pay the stamp duty & something towards legal fees though, which I very much doubt.
