I like this chair

www.next.co.uk/shopping/homeware/sofas/16/1?extra=sch&n=homeware&pid=385-532

It's to go in a small room with a fire place that was a playroom but has now been reclaimed by DH and I to use as a 'nice' lounge. It's only 400 x 400 cms at the longest point but eaten out of that is a massive bay window on one wall, a fire place with 2 alcoves on another wall and then double doors central on another wall (opposite-ish the fire place.

So, I'm looking at this chair but in the natural stripe and with a fairly regular (if there is such a thing) darkish 2 seater sofa (about 185cm wide).

The two heights only differ by 2 cm but the bottom of the sofa is much lower to the ground and it's legs, although the same colour/wood, are much narrower on the chair. Can that work? So different that they actually 'go'??

TIA

Yeah, it will be fine if you choose a sofa with similar shape (ie: classic, structured) and I think dark (chocolate brown could look good). I think you can buy replacement chair legs at upholstery places if you think they are a bit issue.

BTW, 4m square is considered very large in London...

thanks lala. Just found out the next sale starts 17/7! Should I wait and see if it gets reduced but then I'll be gutted if I miss it?

Trouble is, I never so this sort of thing normally (choose furniture) as i don't really have an eye for it so I'm terrified I'm going to have chosen wrongly and it will look pants. As well as possibly twice as much as it need have been if i want until the sale. But, we're being impatient.

oh, please please, someone tell me what to do!!!
