Has anyone ever used a relocation agent? Was it successful and was it expensive?

Wow - I just had a quote back. 1.25% of the house price. Yikes! ALl I need are a few photos - google earth is free!!!
It's just very difficult to get an idea of ceiling height etc... when you are doing things from across the atlantic!
