Voiles - off the shelf

I'm planning to have nice voile panels for the bedroom window with roman blind. The window is standard modern 1.8m long x 1m deep and think that the short curtain wouldnt like right. There is no room for funiture underneath as the bed is close. So that length of wall is bland. The Window faces the lane and our employees walk up and down close and many a time I've flashed them! This is the only option I have come up with a set of nice voiles to floor. I've seen some nice fabrics ("Lino sheer") with tiny stripes of fabric sown in. This is expensive so wondering if anyone was shop bought nice panels. I want a nice gather (prob on pole) so to achieve the nice folds. I want quite a formal look. Or should I have them made to acheive that look? What gather for this will 1.5 suffice or x2 better.

I'm going to make the roman blinds myself and only need 2.5m fabric so I'll save here. The voiles look too tricky so sub these out.

Are you going to use the voiles as curtains in front of the roman blind, am a bit confused?

If you have limited space under the window you could have a straight flat voile panel under the roman blind so you'd have privacy all day long, using the blind just at night.

Yes, voile curtains - seem very fashionable in all the designer fabric catalogues.

Thought it would look really classy.

Have you tried Dunelm Mill - go online and they sell voile panels in several different sizes.I don't think any of them are as glamorous as the voile you like but are a lot less expensive.Failing that if you are near a shop go have a look as you can get really expensive fabrics there for less money.I have to admit to having gold stripy voile curtains from dunelm[albeit with gold silk blinds from a very xpens. int.design shop].They wash brilliantly and are practical with kids.I think your idea of full length curtains is a good idea and would look lovely with roman blinds.
