Landlords - does your agent charge for this?

I've just noticed a charge of £75.00 on our latest statement from the letting agent for "TDS annual fee", which apparently is a charge for the bond registration scheme where tenants' bond is held. Do other landlords pay this? From what I can see on the TDS website it should be £15 per tenancy, but as I've never come across the charge before, just want to be sure before I speak to the agent. TIA.

I pay for the registration of my tenants' deposits - and it is a lot less than #75. I am also renting at the moment and was not charged to have the deposit registered - like a gas safety certificate, it is part of a landlord's obligations. I would definitely query it.

For my latest tenant I did not take a deposit (on the advice of a lettings agency). Most landlords I know think TDS is money for old rope - and I tend to agree!!
