A mixture of double glazed windows and original wood windows- would it look silly?

Our house is 1930's house with original stained glass windows at the front and side of the house. We are having these repaired as we love the original look. At the rear of the house we have french doors in the dining room and a back door from the kitchen (along the same exterior wall). These doors are beyond repair. My question is this: would it look silly to replace them with double glazed doors? I am sick of the draughts and flimsyness of them and would love to have more secure and draughtproof doors but I am worried that it might spoil the look of the house or make it unattractive to future buyers. Any advice or suggestions please?

No I often do this in house renovations because of cost and also does help with insulation.The front of the house sets the scene once you are inside I find it matters less.Some new upvc is quite matt and simple and elegant looking so i would say go for it

If you went for wood double glazing rather than UPVC then it wouldnt stand out.

I thought you were talking about on the same facade in which case it would look hideous but lots of people do regular double glazing at the back of the house while maintaining the original look at the front.

No, it is just the doors at the back of the house. There is no stained glass at the back either so I'm hopeful it won't stand out. I hadn't thought about wood so will look into it although I suspect it will be more expensive.... Thanks so much for your reassurance everyone. Now has anyone got any recommendations for double glazing companies? I'm in SE London.

I used Balham Glass & Joinery in SW London who made the windows really well and fitted them well but there was a looooong delay. Very competitive prices though so I kind of forgave them.
