Tiling advice.

We need to choose tiles for our ensuite. We spent 3 hours in a tile shop today, and came away with no tiles, no ideas, and a headache. I think I want white or grey tiles, with some sort of mosaic to jazz them up a bit. The walls are going to be a soft grey. Should we tile floor to ceiling, or from the floor to half way up the wall? I quite like the idea of only tiling the shower enclosure and the splash back area of the sink. DH says that would look "weird". Please help! I am (really) open to suggestions!

How big is the bathroom? If you tile fully it may work out as very expensive, and can feel cold and echo-ey. I don't think it would look weird tiling just part of it...

It's approximately 1.8 x1.8 metres. I don't want to tile fully either, just trying to convince DH!

our bathroom only has tiles in shower and over sink. makes more expensive tile affordable as you don't need many. I really like our bathroom. I personally don't like fully tiled bathrooms, they somehow give me flashbacks to the 80s and avocado tiled rooms!
