Accepted an offer. What happens next?

After my v negative thread the other day about no viewers I got 2 viewers & offers in 2 days. Accepted one.

They are ftb & getting morgage through EA so they knew they were approved so that must make it easier?I'm already out so no chain. What happens next?

Oh and had a letter today confirming both solicitors and survey is being started.

Once they've had the survey they may negotiate a bit further on the price.

What sort of things justify a reduction?

Things that might come up are structural stuff like roof, cracks, damp etc

Roof was about the only thing that we didn't do was patched though so shouldn't be too bad

never sold before & I just want it done!

How do you get the money? do they pay you & you pay morgage or what?

The money goes to your solicitor who pays any disimbursements such as estate agent's commission, taxes, mortgage (if you are redeeming it), legal fees etc and you get what is left over at the end.

Thanks. My Morgage is in a different name so I was concerned about a cheque or something that said the wrong one. If the solicitor does it that'll make it easier.

Do I need to tell the morgage people I have accepted an offer?

Apparantly they have been to look round for the survey already so thats got to be a good sign surely (only accepted the offer on Tues)
Had quite a lt of info from the EA as it went along so hoping everyone else keeps it up.
