How much, roughly is it to re-upholster an armchair?

There are some bargains on ebay near me but need a makeover.

Depends if it's antique or not and whether you want proper upholstery or modern foam and whether it needs complete re-upholstery or just recovering iyswim. Prices vary quite a lot across the country but for say complete reupholstery with proper springs/horsehair (synthetic these days!) & reasonable fabric you're looking at I don't know maybe £500 as a guesstimate (decent fabric is average of £30-50/m retail for upholstery weight and you'd need 3-4m prob depending on style/size), if the armchair is buttoned then add a bit as that is fiddly.

You could always show a picture to a local upholsterer and ask for an idea of cost

or join an evening class and learn to do it yourself!!

Had around £400 in my head so not far off.

about £200 labour i reckon. i had a quote for mine and need 8 metres fabric. so about £500 i reckon.

it rarely works out financially but it is nice reusing..

Still cheaper than buying new.
Have emailed the seller about delivery anyway.
