Move to N Wales? Llandudno, Conwy, Rhos area?

Hi, is there anyone that knows much about these locations as a place to settle? We are seriously considering relocating to the area for a range of reasons.

Areas we are looking at are Rhos on Sea, Llandudno - especially Craig-y-Don and the West Shore, or Conwy town. We would like to be off the A55, and not have to cross it to get to the sea, so these seem to be likely candidates. Have seen properties for sale in all of these aresa, and we are going to visit them in the next couple of weeks.

Any insights into any of these areas would be fabulous. I have a three yr old son, and a girl on the way.

Is there much to do for kids (silly q really, its the seaside!), what are the schools like (primaries), nurseries, is it friendly, easy to settle into. Any areas to avoid?

I am English, my partner is Welsh; cant speak Welsh but keen to learn and would like the kids to also.

Thanks

I used to live in teh area over 15 years ago.

Not too sure about Conwy but Llandudno (both Craig y Don - be careful where though, used to have a lot of bedsits - and the West Shore) is very popular as a place to raise families. Rhos was retirement apartment central.

Used to live further east than Llandudno, but be prepared for loads of tourists from around April - September......

It can be pricey too as people commute to Chester and Liverpool.

Tis a lovely area though (except perhaps Rhyl!), and I have many happy memories.
