Any suggestions for my landing?

Landing is long & narrow with high ceilings so in one part there is a really high wall (the bit that goes all the way down the stairs to the hallway. It needs repainting anyway but am a bit stuck as to how to make it less meh.

Can't go for dark dramatic colours as there is very little natural light. Am thinking of just going for white (partly because it will be a bugger to paint so easier if ceiling and walls are the same colour so no cutting in required) but need to do something (pictures?) to add some interest.

Can anyone link to interesting landings??

Why dont you try dulux light and space and then hang a big mirror on that wall and perhaps an interesting lampshade?

Yes have been thinking of Light & Space (have used it in the corridor downstairs directly below the landing) but apart from white I don't really like the colour range - too reminiscent of those "hint of" colours from the 90s!

Ive seen some fastantic sticker murals. Would look very dramatic on white walls. Example:

There are loads of brill ones on other websites.

Warm stone or hessian also looks classy with white.

I huge modern style chandelia would look impressive too.

Lots of big family photos b&w put into groups of 3 all different shapes and sizes???

Our landing sounds similar. We have painted it in dorset cream by F&B which is the only colour i could find that looked right.i must have nearly every tester pot in town.We added traditional style side lighting and put a large nice lamp on the landing as well to increase the light.i also added a gold silk ornate ruched pelmet above a stained glass window to make a feature of it.We have a "oriental" wall of pictures on the long wall in gilt frames.Gilt guilding wax can be used on black frames to reflect more light.A feature chandelier sounds nice as does a collection of photographs.Get inspiration from the period house magazines online.
