Signing the exchange contracts this afternoon, ready for exchanging in a day or two. Solicitor has said to just bring what we need with us, but we don't know what she means? Someone can witness there, so what else could it be? Have handed in the paperwork needed for the mortgage, any ideas?

We signed last Friday, we took our passports just in case, which they didnt ask for.

Definitely take your buuildings/contents insurance policy for the new house though- we didnt know we had to have it and it was a stroke of luck DH hapned to have the details in his briefcase.

They want the value of the cover, start dae and policy number IIRC

Also maybe worth taking your mortgage offer just in case?

But if you aren't sure definitely ring the solicitors and ask- you are paying them enough!
