I am trying to think what I need to do this evening. And Saturday/Sunday evening.

House being packed up tomorrow (under DH's supervision) - what must I remember to take with me in the car tomorrow so it doesn't get packed?

I have thought of clothes, glasses, contact lens things, cat's basket. What else is there?

And what do I need to do? Have redirected post a d done some other things. But feel I have forgotten some things.

Off the top of my head......

Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, cups, spoons, paper plates, plastic cups, squash, cutlery, washing up liquid, tea towels, clean underwear.

Put the kettle in your car as well as the utensils to make a simple meal, such as bread knife, frying pan, tea bags, whatever. Toilet roll is handy too. Maybe cleaning products. Obviously copy of useful telephone numbers. Depending of age of your children, & what time you expect to get in, their bedding/comfort toys. Picture yourself "the other end" & your requirements to survive a 24hr period. It's a lot like camping and hopefully can be quite fun! Enjoy.

kitchen roll

LIZS · 04/06/2010 12:49

toilet roll, soap ,towel, lightbulbs, painkillers for the inevitable mammoth headache, hoover/mop

SparkyUK · 04/06/2010 14:20

toys and books and whatever will make your LOs feel comfortable and keep them busy.

Set of sheets and towels. toiletries.

cleaning products, hoover, etc.

We packed a case with spare clothes and toiletries for all of us to keep in car, as though we were going away for a couple of nights.

As others have said tea and coffee and kettle etc v important as your movers will need lots of refreshments!

I also packed up my own underwear as didn't fancy the packers doing it...

I assume you have sorted something as regards having access to milk, etc. Is there a neighbour who will give you access to their fridge. Also am assuming freezer has been defrosted and is dry and ready to be packed up?

Leave out a few takeaway menus and a phone charger?

Laptop or some other device on which to play DVDs if you have DCs around?

Good luck ...
