Leaking roof

I really hope someone can help me with this dilemma. We,ve had a leak in my roof for some months now, we have a flat roof by the way, we contacted a local roofer and he said my roof was fine and that the problem was coming from next door, as we have adjoining rooves and the water was coming from her side, the roofer did say next doors roof was in bad need of repair, felting curled up and cracks within the felt and the water was coming from some kind of valley down into one of my bedrooms, which at the moment we cannot use. We have spoken with my neighbour whom i'm on friendly terms with, but her reply was that she cannot afford to repair her roof, where do we stand with this. I'm assuming she may not want to pay for repairs for somethig that is not really concerning her, as she has not had any problems, not any that we,re aware of anyway or that she honestly cannot afford the repairs.

have you got insurance? let them deal with this.

Yes, we have insurance but we thought that it didnt cover things like this, as we thought this was wear and tear on her part and that it wont cover this. We will try though, thanks for your advice.

well, the insurance is interested in paying as little as possible, so possibly will talk to the neighbors to remedy the broken roof so that the leaking will stop.
