Bathroom tile question - practical advice needed !

We're into the first few months of our major house renovation and we need to choose some bathroom tiles - we're going contemporary style so the sort of square bathroom sinks/bath and loo and big tiles....

We saw some lovely taupe and neutral tiles at the weekend which were big rectangular tiles with some contrasting smaller rectangles (IYSWIM) and they looked great. Only thing is that they are Matt in colour rather than a shine - I love them but wonder if they might be more of a pain to clean and harder to keep clean and whether a shinier sort of tile (similar style) might work better?

Matt much nicer than shiny and no reason why it should be more difficult to clean!

god ive lost count on the times ive refitted bathrooms and kitchens. glossy and shine are the current trend but harder to keep clean and will show every water mark so its you choice if you want to spend the time cleaning them! just refiiting another renovation property at the moment so i am putting matt in the bathroom colour grey and white the kitchen though as its less of a splash zone am fitting glass mossaic tiles in shades of white to brown
please laso bear in mind if using gloss tiles on the bathroom floor this will be slippery!
my recomendation is if you like the matt finsish one go for it after all you have to live with them and trends come and go so one minute its shiney then matt, if its not for immediate resale would go for matt.

We've recently done our bathroom and have these tiles - they are a matt finish and look bloody lovely

The floor is done in the matching tiles and makes it look so spacious.

Oh forgot to say, they clean really easily and being matt don't show the watermarks or scale.
