I really want to buy a house...

I know this has been said before but I really want to buy again (it's almost like broodiness, I'm kind of obsessed). But there are only 7 houses in the area I am looking at that I like and none of them are for sale. (I know it is a bit loony to be this picky but I live in London and if I am going to be spending upwards of #600k I want to make sure I've got the right street, the right side of the street and the right end of the right side of the right street.) I think I'm just looking for a bit of sympathy.

I really want to sell a house.

Here's hoping there is someone in our area who feels as you do (but is less picky!)

Try a note through the door...? You never know someone might want to sell.

You can buy mine if you like, only problem is it is in Teesside

Tried notes through the doors - no response so far. Why won't these bloody people move, fgs ?

Have to say if I got a genuine note through door, with the right kind of figure I would probably sell. But most we get are from Estate Agents, including F**tons who don't have a clue to the area, and quote much cheaper roads etc. Bet they don't even realise we are not one of the flats at the bottom of the hill.

So sympathy and good luck.

I've just put some leaflets through doors but didn't put a figure on there.

No response as yet though!

lalalonglegs · 30/05/2010 15:03

No, I didn't put a figure on either - but, having read another thread, the wisdom seemed to be if no one got back within a couple of days, they weren't going to .

go on then, what area are you looking in? maybe one of us will be thinking of selling the exact house you're after!!

Any MNers living on Holmside Road, Thurleigh Ave or Thurleigh Road near Clapham Common(1930s semis only, can't even fantasise about the big Victorian/Edwardian jobbies). West/south-facing gardens preferred, and unmodernised house. So it will probably be a MNer's gran rather than a MNer... [hopeful]
