Architect Your Home?

Has anyone used architect-yourhome.com?

If you have, what did you think of the service?

I want to brief an architect to design a single storey rear extension to give us a large kitchen/diner/den type of space. I'm not sure whether to try this service or go to a local architect.

DH doesn't seem to think an architect is good value and only sees it as a cost. He thinks I should just get a technician to do plans ...... I'm not convinced.

Would really appreciate views and experiences. Thanks.

I am an RIBA Chartered Architect of 19 yrs post qualification experience. Your architect is there to save you money in the longer term and to surpass your initial expectations by way of the design. At the end of the day you get exactly what you pay for!

I used them but was dispppinted but how little I got for my money.
I would recommend a local architect, ask friends for names or try asking your local planning office.
