Quote for new roof

Does anyone know if £3000 for a new roof is good/bad/indifferent price wise?

We are having our loft done at the moment, so that price doesn't include scaffolding and skip etc as we already have this. Bloke said it would take 3-4 days.

Our house is a Victorian 3 bed mid terrace btw

Thanks!

Sounds cheap to me, but I don't know how large your roof is.

What are you having it re-roofed with? Slates? What sort of slates? What thickness / estimated longevity etc?

Blimey, I don't know any of the answers to those questions!!! Will give him a call and ask

Glad to it sounds OK price wise though!

You need to check the quality of the materials he's planning to use - here's a quick discussion plus the question you need to ask:

Mine cost about £1700 8 or so years ago (also a Victorian terrace) and taht was reusing teh original slates. So, yes, sounds pretty good.
