I had great suggestions about paint to put with this wallpaper. I am covering a headboard in this 'way' but this is where I am stuck. I thought I would cover with this fabric and either have curtains in the same fabric or this which would bring the spots and flowers together abit (you have to open them all together and overlap to get what I am seeing in my head) and it quite close to the style of wallpaper. Is it all too much? My head is spinning with it all and I just my bedroom done. Furniture is pine painted white. It's going with the 'shabby chic' look (I hate that phrase but cannot think how to describe it). Another curtain idea was plain sage or plain pink, or this but I thought spots, stripes AND flowers might be abit much except as cushions.

last three links :

the choice (so far) for headboard fabric here and if not too matchy matchy for curtains too
choice so far for curtains here
or here but thought flowers , spots and stripes together in another bigger than a cushion would be OTT

I would do the decorating and get that finished to a good standard and then let the room evolve rather than aim for the finished article which can end up looking overdone and impersonal like those tv shows! The paper is lovely but doing a whole look is rarely succesful in the long term

All the fabrics go stripes spots etc irrelevant as long as the tones are in the same 'family'.

All seems a bit 'busy' to me. Will you be adding lots of toys in primary colours or are they mainly tasteful, wooden things or all pink? I am assuming an older girl from your choices and do like the pink/sage combo but personally I would go for plain walls restricting the roses to curtains, headboard and big pictures - single rose prints? fabric panels? Much easier to change, update as DD's own choices begin to be felt.

Sorry, this is my bedroom now - I gave up explaining the playroom [feeling abit ill]. The walls apart from the feature wall is very plain pale muted green, almost cream/grey/green (that nordic thing). I was going to cover the headboard in cream plain fabric so it looked less busy, but didn't know if the spot fabric was dull enought to get away with - it looked good against eachother on my screen Cushions etc. will wait until I can sense what colours need putting in, but I really need to do the curtains.

I dont mean this is my current bedroom when I said this is my bedroom now, I mean I am starting with the bedroom.
