Congrats - is horrible when you have to haggle with LL!

Hopefully they just put it down to wear and tear - any property would look tired after 5 years (ours is similarly stained and mucky with having small kids!!).

apparently now the deposit protection scheme has come in landlords can no longer see it as part of the rent
