Are feature walls becoming a bit passe?

I've just bought a cream wrought iron bedstead and I'd like to have it against a wallpapered wall, but our bedroom is too small to carry wallpaper on all four walls I think. If I paper just one wall is that a trend that's now becoming a bit naff?

Also, I have cream and beige striped bedding, and a sort of vintage quilted throw in cream and rose across the foot, any suggestions as to what shade of wallpaper/paint I should go for? I was thinking of a warm beige...

It's been around for years so I'd say 'yes'.

I've never really thought much of feature walls. I prefer plain walls - cream. And then you can go mad with bright rugs, pictures, cushions etc

Do many people pass through your bedroom?

If not then I'd say go with what you like.

Who cares? I think they look great. I have one in my lounge with this paper:-

Then I have a colour called Muddy Puddle by Dulux on the walls.

Looks awesome and everyone loves it.
