here is the wallpaper for where my headboard wall is - I painted the other walls 'satin bow' which I thought was going to be very pale, soft pink but it came out mauve. Now I am unsure to get a better very pale pink, an appley/sage green (hint of) or cream. Any ideas? Thanks

Nice paper, very retro. I'd go more cream or green tbh. Unless you want it to be super girly of course

Greeny grey would look great.dulux dusted moss comes in 5 shades so you could try one of those

If you were keen on pink, Almost Oyster by Dulux is a gorgeously soft shade - not girly at all. Well, maybe just a little bit.

I like the idea of greeny grey, the colour of the lighter petal

HerHonesty · 11/05/2010 18:59

i reckon cream. i think the green will make the room look a little intense.

It is the lightest subtle green/grey you could get really lovely in different lights

OMG We did DD's bedroom in this just before x'mas, we did one feature wall, then we painted the main walls in a colour called Heaven Sent, which is a B&Q own make thing, got the most enourmous bucket for £11, its the exact same shade as the creamy background colour. I was going to do it in a Dulux shade which is the same as the lighter green leaf, but saw the Heaven Sent and chose that instead. We painted her draws in Dusted Fondant also a Dulux Paint and the alcoves either side of the chimney breast. It looks lovely and very traditional which is what she wanted.

I did find though that the match isnt great on the paper (even though we checked serial numbers) a couple of strips I had to hang from the bottom upwards IYSWIM, rather than top to bottom, also this paper needs plenty of time to soak in when youv'e pasted otherwise you get bubbles. Despite the match issue it does look really nice and a bit opelescent.

I got curtains from Wilkinsons which are also the same shade as the darker rose which are satiny, which was a really lucky find.
