Paint it white and try and get a big mirror also...you can still have a bit of colour with towels, etc

mine is a light grey colour....looks nice too

So is real colour a no-no?

I'm really bored of it being white/mag/cream.

Grey doesn't go with magnolia/cream at all.

I would go white (indeed we have), and introduce colour with accessories, then you can change them depending on your mood!

Agree with getting a big mirror to bounce light around.

If you do want colour, then most things go with grey - hot pink, baby blues, yellow.

Mine is small too - it is white at the moment with bright coloured towels and bin and a couple of pictures (turquoise colours mostly). I am thinking of painting the walls grey at some stage though - I liked this bathroom which someone linked to a while back...

I have had three consecutive small bathrooms and have painted all three white. It's clean, it's bright and goes with whatever flooring, tiles and towels you have.

I've seen two very small bathrooms - in fact nothing more than downstairs loos - painted extremely bright, in yer face colours. One was a very intense, glossy yellow. The other was bright pink, verging on cerise. They both looked great. The pink one was half-tiled with plain white tiles, so the pink was only actually in half the space.

Having said that, our downstairs loo is white with black/white tiling.

Can you add an antique mirror and light to give it some character?.This is what I have done[and antique french bedside cabinet to store lotions].You can pick up victorian pine towel rails and hang pretty towels over it.Old black/white prints nicely framed in black/gold would go well with white/pale grey walls. You do need to group them together to look best can pick these things up at antique shops or fairs and its fun to do.

I prefer white bathrooms. Looks fresh and clean.
