Would you sacrifice airing cupboard for new hot water tank and boiler

Our house is being extended and internally renovated at the moment. We're having a new boiler and hot water tank. The builder has suggested that the new boiler also go in our airing cupboard but that would mean sacrificing the warm space for towels etc - I also tend to dry DH's shirts in there in the winter.

Do you think you need a warm airing cupboard. Alternative I understand is that the boiler goes in the loft....

What do you think ? Have you done this and missed the airing cupboard space ?
Thanks

Previous occupants of our house did this
I had an airing cupboard in the old place and my god I miss it.
