solar panel heating

We are thinking about installing solar panel heating and were wondering if you have any experiences of this, how expensive it was and efficiency etc. We are abit baffled by the technology and could to with some advice.

Sorry no one else has replied - as I was also hoping to hear anyone elses experiences.

We are quite keen to do it - have perfectly positioned roof for catching the rays, but having had a quick look into it, realised we would also have to replace our boiler at the same time,and as we have recently spent quite a lot of money on keeping it going for a few more years (fingers crossed) can not afford to do that too.
As soon as boiler looks like being on last legs, we will hopefully have it installed.
